Page history and trash

Review published versions, restore an earlier draft, and recover trashed pages and files.

Documentello keeps publication history separate from the current draft and gives deleted content a recovery period.

Publication history

Every time you publish a page, Documentello saves a version.

  1. Open the page.
  2. Select Publication history.
  3. Open a version to review its content and publisher.
  4. Select Restore as draft if you want to work from it again.

Restoring a version changes the draft only. Publish it to make that version visible to readers.

Move a page to trash

Open the page options and select Move to trash. The page and its descendants leave the page tree. Published pages disappear from the public site immediately.

Restore pages

  1. Open Trash beneath the page tree.
  2. Select Restore beside a restorable page.
  3. Confirm the restoration.

Restoring a parent brings back its remaining descendants as drafts. Their editable content and history are preserved, but you must publish them again.

Pages are permanently deleted after 30 days. Owners can empty page trash sooner.

Files have a separate File trash under Files. They are also retained for 30 days and continue to count toward storage until permanently deleted.
