Getting started
Create your first Documentello site, write a page, and publish it for readers.
Documentello gives you one place to write, organize, and publish public documentation. You can start with a documentello.site address, then connect your own domain when you are ready.
The basic workflow
A site can contain up to 100 editors without per-seat billing. Owners manage the subscription and site-wide settings. Editors can write and publish pages, manage files, and review reader feedback.
What to write first
Start with the shortest path to a useful answer. A small documentation site often begins with:
- A welcome page that explains what the product or service does
- A quick start with the first successful workflow
- A few task-based guides for common jobs
- Troubleshooting answers for recurring problems
You can add more structure later. Documentello keeps drafts separate from published content, so you can improve pages without changing what readers currently see.
