Site owners can request a complete content export at any time.
Request an export
- Open Tools.
- Find Export your content.
- Select Request export.
- Wait for the email confirming that the ZIP is ready.
- Use the download link within 24 hours.
What the ZIP contains
The export includes:
- Every saved page as Markdown
- Current unpublished edits
- All active site files
- Site information needed to understand the exported content
Trashed pages and publication history are not included.
Because pages use GitHub-flavored Markdown, you can read them in ordinary text editors and move them into other tools without a proprietary conversion step.
